Job Description:
We are seeking an exceptional Senior WordPress Developer with over a decade of experience to lead the development of a sophisticated, client-facing website for Apex Web Makers, a premier provider of website design, hosting, SEO, and social media marketing services. The ideal candidate will architect and implement a secure, scalable WordPress platform that serves as both a promotional hub and an integrated client portal. This includes advanced features such as service showcases, e-commerce capabilities for service sales, user authentication and dashboards, project tracking, payment processing, and automated workflows, all while ensuring compliance with data privacy standards and optimal performance.


Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, development, and customization of a robust WordPress site, incorporating custom themes, plugins, and integrations to support service browsing, e-commerce transactions, appointment scheduling, user account management, billing dashboards, analytics visualization, and support ticket systems.
• Develop secure client portals with role-based access controls, restricting backend access for customers while enabling features like project milestone tracking, invoice viewing, payment processing, and work order submissions.
• Integrate third-party tools, including Stripe for payments and subscriptions, Bitrix24 for CRM syncing (e.g., leads, tasks, and deals), Calendly for consultations, and Google Analytics for reporting, ensuring seamless functionality within WordPress.
• Conduct comprehensive security implementations, including HTTPS enforcement, input validation, two-factor authentication, and compliance with GDPR/CCPA and PCI-DSS standards.
• Optimize site performance for load times under 3 seconds, utilizing caching, CDNs, and database tuning; perform regular maintenance, updates, and vulnerability assessments.
• Collaborate closely with a small remote team in an agile environment, delivering iterative milestones within a tight 6-8 week timeline for the initial MVP launch.
• Provide documentation for code, APIs, and administrative processes, along with post-launch support for scalability and enhancements.


Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in WordPress development, with proven expertise in building complex client portals, e-commerce platforms, and integrated service ecosystems.
• Advanced proficiency in WordPress core, including custom theme and plugin development, WooCommerce for e-commerce, and integrations with tools such as Bookly/Amelia for scheduling, Tidio/LiveChat for support, and WPForms/Gravity Forms for advanced ticketing and workflows.
• Strong command of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/ES6+) for responsive, interactive interfaces, and back-end skills (PHP, MySQL) for secure data handling, authentication, and role-based permissions.
• Demonstrated experience with payment gateways (e.g., Stripe for recurring billing and webhooks), CRM APIs (e.g., Bitrix24 for bi-directional syncing), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics API for dashboard metrics).
• Expertise in security best practices, including encryption, vulnerability scanning, and compliance frameworks like GDPR/CCPA and PCI-DSS.
• Proficiency in performance optimization (e.g., WP Rocket caching, Cloudflare CDN) and SEO techniques to ensure scalability and search visibility.
• Excellent English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking, with clear communication skills for remote collaboration, including daily stand-ups and client-facing documentation.
