We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive SEO Technical Specialist to join our remote team and help take our technical SEO to the next level.

Role Summary
As a Technical SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for executing and maintaining technical SEO best practices across client websites. You’ll work closely with our in-house SEO strategist and developers to identify issues, optimise site performance, and ensure SEO compliance with the latest algorithm updates and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits (site structure, crawlability, indexing, etc.)
• Perform on-site technical optimisations (meta tags, schema markup, canonicalization, etc.)
• Monitor and improve site speed, mobile usability, and Core Web Vitals
• Diagnose and resolve crawl errors, broken links, and indexing issues
• Implement structured data and other advanced SEO markup
• Work with development teams to implement and validate technical changes
• Use tools like Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and others
• Keep up-to-date with Google algorithm changes and SEO trends
• Provide clear reports and documentation of issues, recommendations, and results

Qualifications & Experience
• 2+ years experience in a technical SEO role
• Strong understanding of SEO principles, Google algorithms, and technical ranking factors
• Hands-on experience with tools such as:
o Google Search Console & Google Analytics
o Screaming Frog / Sitebulb
o Ahrefs, SEMrush or similar
o GTmetrix, PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication in English
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

• Experience working with Australian businesses or markets
• Familiarity with international SEO or multilingual sites
• Basic understanding of web development or working directly with developers
