As we continue to grow, we're looking for a strategic Product Research & Sourcing Expert with a marketing mindset to help us scale and innovate faster.
Job Summary
We’re seeking a Product Research & Sourcing Expert who is not only experienced in supplier and manufacturing coordination, but also has a strong grasp of brand positioning, consumer trends, and marketing strategy. In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to source products and packaging that align with our Unique Selling Propositions (USPs) and meet evolving market demands.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Product & R&D Timeline Management: Maintain an always-updated product development snapshot to monitor manufacturing status and proactively avoid delays.
Pretotyping & Trend Scouting: Collaborate with factories to explore new product categories and innovations that support product-market fit and deliver fresh USPs.
Quality Control Coordination: Ensure quality standards are met and sustained through consistent communication with suppliers and product testing.
Sourcing & Procurement: Identify and vet new suppliers, source competitive quotes, negotiate MOQ, pricing, and lead times.
Packaging & Brand Alignment: Source packaging that enhances brand perception and strengthens product USPs through aesthetics and functionality.
Spec Sheet & Tech Pack Oversight: Work with factories to maintain up-to-date product documentation, including part numbers, materials, and contract terms.
Cost Optimization: Track and manage per-part pricing and production efficiency without compromising quality or brand positioning.
Collaborate with Marketing: Work with product and marketing teams to ensure sourced products clearly communicate their value proposition and unique benefits.
Qualifications
2–5 years experience in sourcing, preferably in beauty, wellness, or consumer electronics
Familiar with Chinese and Asian suppliers, Alibaba, 1688, and related platforms
Marketing background or strong understanding of product positioning and USP development
Experience working with DTC brands or Amazon sellers is a strong plus
Strong written and spoken English; Mandarin is a bonus
High attention to detail; process-driven and self-managed
Excellent communication, negotiation, and supplier relationship skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment
