Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Real Estate Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions for our business. The ideal candidate will have experience in property management, construction, or real estate development, with a strong understanding of accounting principles, job costing, and industry-specific bookkeeping needs.
Key Responsibilities
Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
Maintain accurate ledgers for multiple properties, projects, and entities.
Process vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and client billing.
Track project costs
Manage bank reconciliations, and credit card statements
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for ownership.
Assist with tax preparation by organizing supporting financial documents.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in real estate, construction, or property management.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks and Houzz Pro).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects and entities simultaneously.
Strong communication skills for working with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
Preferred Skills
Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) or integrated real estate software.
Knowledge of construction draws, lien waivers, and loan servicing.
