Junior Web Developer

Job Overview:
We’re looking for a Junior Web Developer to support the development, maintenance, and improvement of multiple websites under the VantageBP brand. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented, motivated individual to grow their skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

You’ll work closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to turn mockups into responsive and visually engaging web pages. You’ll help ensure each site functions smoothly, looks great on all devices, and provides an excellent user experience.

Responsibilities:
Convert design mockups into fully functional web pages using HTML, CSS, and EmberJS
Assist in maintaining and optimizing existing websites
Troubleshoot and debug issues across various browsers and devices
Collaborate with designers and backend developers to implement UI/UX best practices
Work with MongoDB or other document-style databases to manage dynamic content
Identify areas for improvement and assist in implementing enhancements
Support ongoing website optimization for speed, performance, and accessibility

Skills & Qualifications:
Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
Experience or familiarity with EmberJS (or willingness to learn quickly)
Basic experience with MongoDB or similar document-oriented databases
Knowledge of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility
Understanding of basic UI/UX principles
Ability to follow technical direction and collaborate in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication in English

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Exposure to REST APIs
Familiarity with Agile development workflows
Basic understanding of SEO principles for web development
