You already have experience with litigation files and are able to draft discovery requests and discovery responses with little help.?

Experience drafting legal pleadings is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. You will be working on family law and landlord tenant civil actions. Experience preferred in these areas.

Prepare a video response no more than 2 minutes about working as a paralegal in a law firm and your availability to work 8-5pm EST. Also explain what you believe are the 3 most important skills you have learned during your legal career and why you believe they are the most important. We look forward to learning more about you!

Key Responsibilities
Assist attorneys and paralegals with preparation and filing of EOIR applications, motions, and briefs.
Draft, organize, and submit EOIR-28, EOIR-33, and other immigration court forms.
Maintain and update EOIR case files, calendars, and hearing schedules.
Communicate with clients to gather documents, provide case updates, and ensure deadlines are met.
Coordinate with interpreters, clients, and witnesses for hearings and interviews.
Monitor case status through EOIR and DHS systems and track deadlines.
Organize evidence, exhibits, and supporting documents for submission to the immigration court.
Provide general administrative support, including data entry, scanning, and file management.

Qualifications
Prior experience in immigration law, preferably EOIR-focused (1+ year).
Knowledge of EOIR filing procedures, forms, and court requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and case management software.

Preferred:
Bilingual (English + Spanish, Haitian Creole, or other language common to client base).
Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification.
