AI Developer / Software Engineer

Looking for a highly resourceful and sharp developer to prototype a simple pipeline: when given a photo of a smile and an ornament image, the system should combine them so the ornament blends realistically onto the teeth in ~5 seconds or less.

The goal is not a polished product but a proof-of-concept. A barebones interface (even a command line or a minimal upload button + process button) is enough.

Responsibilities
Research and test existing image manipulation techniques, APIs, or libraries
Build a terminal-based pipeline that ingests a user’s smile photo and an ornament image, and outputs a blended result
Solve challenges of alignment, blending, and realism using whatever tools are most effective

Requirements
Demonstrated ability to solve novel problems by finding and adapting unfamiliar tools quickly
Comfort experimenting with AI/ML libraries or third-party APIs
Track record of shipping prototypes or MVPs with limited guidance

Nice to Have but not required
Experience with computer vision (e.g., segmentation, masking, landmark detection)
Familiarity with generative AI for image editing (diffusion, inpainting)
Prior experience blending or overlaying images in a realistic way

Success Criteria
User can provide two images (smile + ornament)
System produces a blended output in 5 seconds or less
No need for a production-grade web app; a basic dummy interface or command line is acceptable
