VA QA / Tester Role

Role Overview:

As a QA Tester, you will play a critical role in the software development lifecycle by testing and validating the functionality, performance, and usability of our technical products. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve issues, ensuring a flawless user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

-Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases based on product requirements and user stories.
-Conduct manual and automated testing of web, mobile, and/or desktop applications.
-Identify, document, and track defects using [specific tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.].
-Work closely with developers and product teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
-Perform regression testing and ensure new features do not disrupt existing functionality.
-Validate user interfaces for consistency, usability, and adherence to design specifications.
-Provide input on potential areas of improvement in the development and testing processes.
-Maintain and update test scripts to ensure they reflect current functionality and requirements.
-Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to provide feedback from a QA perspective.
-Analyze and report on test results, ensuring stakeholders are informed of the product's quality status.

Qualifications:

Required:
Proven experience as a QA Tester or in a similar role.
Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
Proficiency in manual testing techniques and familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
Knowledge of programming or scripting languages for test automation (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred:
Experience testing SaaS platforms, mobile apps, etc.].
Knowledge of performance testing and tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration with testing processes.
Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
