Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Part-Time Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience identifying funding opportunities, drafting compelling proposals, and managing grant reporting. This role is essential in securing resources to advance organization mission and expand the impact of our core programs.
Key Responsibilities
Research, identify, and prioritize grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents.
Collaborate with leadership to align funding requests with organizational needs and program priorities.
Maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements.
Prepare and submit progress reports to funders in compliance with grant guidelines.
Build and maintain relationships with funders and stakeholders.
Support in creating budgets and financial narratives for proposals, in coordination with the Executive Director and finance team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred, but not required).
Minimum 2–3 years of successful grant writing experience (nonprofit sector strongly preferred).
Strong written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling, mission-driven narratives.
Familiarity with grant-making processes.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace; experience with grant databases is a plus.
Schedule & Compensation
Part-Time: 4 days per week (flexible scheduling).
Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience, with the opportunity to earn a quarterly performance bonus when targeted grant funding goals are met.
