Role Overview
We’re looking for an AI Automation Developer with at least 1+ year of hands-on experience building with n8n and other affordable AI platforms. You’ll start by developing automations for our company, then move on to maintaining and expanding workflows for our clients.
This role begins on a part-time, paid trial basis, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time, permanent position based on performance.
What You’ll Do
Build automation workflows in n8n to improve internal operations
Integrate low-cost / free AI tools (e.g., OpenAI free tier, open-source LLMs, RAG, or similar)
Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot client workflows on an ongoing basis
Create clear documentation and ensure smooth handoffs to our team
Research and test new AI tools that can lower costs and improve efficiency
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience with n8n
Strong understanding of API integrations and workflow logic
Experience with at least one AI tool (open-source, free-tier, or API-based)
Ability to design scalable, maintainable workflows
Good communication and accountability—must be reliable
Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
Familiarity with LangChain, RAG frameworks, or lightweight AI agents
Background in SaaS or startup environments
Client-facing experience (supporting or maintaining automations)
Compensation & Growth Path
Starting pay: $4–$15 per hour, depending on experience and performance
Phase 1: Part-time, trial basis (paid)
Phase 2: If performance meets expectations, transition to full-time, permanent role
Performance reviews will determine pay increases within the range
