Dental Insurance Verification Specialist (Remote - Philippines)

Advanced Dental Center is seeking a full-time Dental Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team remotely. This role is responsible for verifying patient insurance benefits, confirming coverage for procedures, and ensuring accurate financial estimates into our patient management system. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to communicate clearly with both patients and insurance companies. Able to work eastern standard hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify patients’ dental insurance eligibility, coverage, and benefits prior to appointments.
• Contact insurance companies via phone, fax, or online portals to obtain accurate benefit details.
• Attain accurate breaks downs on patients insurance coverage.
•Document insurance breakdown, including co-pays, deductibles, annual maximums, and coverage limitations, accurately in Open Dental.
• Record the information within the patients appointment.
• Reaching out to patients, if their insurance information is not covered.
• Assist with claim follow-ups, appeals, and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a dental office or medical insurance verification strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of common dental insurance plans, terminology, and CDT coding.
• Proficiency with dental practice management software and insurance portals.
• Excellent English skills with communication and customer service.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
