We're looking for a talented SEO Content Writer to join our SEO team.
You'll be assisting the SEO team on content writing, on-page optimization (for articles), and keyword-driven content production. You will be our go-to person for SEO-friendly copy across websites, blogs, and landing pages.
If you're someone who’s detail-oriented, research-driven, and enjoys owning content end-to-end, this is the right job for you. In this role, you’ll handle day-to-day content briefs, create and optimize articles/landing pages, and support occasional content refreshes or site migrations. You'll work collaboratively with our team, but you’ll need strong writing chops, SEO savvy, and the ability to deliver high-quality content at speed.
Core responsibilities
1. Requirements & planning
- Work with the account manager and SEO specialist to clarify goals, audience, and content scope, and estimate timelines.
2. Content research and strategy
- Conduct keyword research, SERP analysis, and competitor content reviews to identify topics and rankings opportunities.
- Build content outlines that align with search intent, E-E-A-T, and brand voice.
3. Content creation
- Write clear, engaging, and SEO-optimized long-form articles, landing pages, and website copy.
- Apply on-page best practices: headings, internal linking, metadata, schema opportunities, and image optimization.
4. Optimization and updates
- Refresh underperforming pages with improved structure, updated facts, and better keyword targeting.
- Implement content A/B tests where relevant and iterate using analytics insights.
5. Collaboration and publication
- Work with designers/developers to ensure content renders well (readability, mobile, accessibility) and is published accurately in CMS.
- Coordinate with outreach/PR for content that supports link-building campaigns.
6. QA and reporting
- Proofread for grammar, clarity, and brand voice; ensure factual accuracy and proper citation.
- Track content performance (rankings, CTR, engagement, conversions) and produce concise updates.
Basic requirement:
1. AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS AN SEO CONTENT WRITER (HIGHLY IMPORTANT)
2. A portfolio with published samples (blogs, landing pages, case studies) showcasing samples or past work of SEO optimized articles.
3. SEO fundamentals
- Strong understanding of search intent, keyword difficulty, topical clusters, and internal linking.
- On-page optimization: titles, meta descriptions, headers, alt text, schema opportunities, and URL best practices.
4. Writing and editorial
- Excellent English writing and editing skills; ability to adapt tone/voice by audience and industry.
- Ability to create skimmable structures: compelling intros, clear subheads, summaries, and CTAs.
5 Research and tools
- Proficient with keyword and SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs/SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner, Search Console).
- Competitor/SERP analysis, fact-checking from authoritative sources, and basic use of AI tools as accelerators (not as a crutch).
6. CMS and publishing
- Experience with WordPress or similar CMS, basic formatting with Gutenberg/Elementor or equivalent.
- Image handling, internal links, redirects coordination, and basic understanding of page speed implications.
7. Analytics and optimization
- Ability to read performance data from Google Analytics/Looker Studio/Search Console and make optimization recommendations.
- Experience running content refreshes, improving CTR via title/meta tests, and boosting EEAT signals (bylines, sourcing, expert review).
8. Quality and compliance
- Write original, plagiarism-free content; adhere to brand voice and style guides.
- Follow Google Search Essentials and Helpful Content guidelines; fact-check and cite reputable sources.
- Accessibility awareness (clear headings, alt text, readable contrast) and sensitivity when handling YMYL topics.
We’re looking for a full-time SEO Content Writer to come on board ASAP — hiring process can be as quick as 3 days. Compensation begins from $500 above as we’re open to negotiating. We’re also an advocate of quarterly increment based on performance.
