- Strong written communication skills for formal request drafting

Preferred Experience

- Understanding of copyright and fair use considerations for video content
- Previous work obtaining records for true crime or investigative content

Project Scope
- 10-15 FOIA requests per month initially, with potential to scale
- Focus on recent, compelling police encounters with public interest value
- Target agencies known for reasonable response times and transparency
- Provide case research and recommendations for most promising targets

Compensation
- Bonus per successful request (depending on complexity)
- Bonus structure for particularly valuable or challenging acquisitions
- Monthly retainer option available for ongoing partnership

Application Requirements
Please submit:
1. Portfolio of successful FOIA requests (redacted for privacy)
2. List of agencies you've successfully worked with
3. Brief strategy outline for obtaining police bodycam footage
4. Timeline expectations for typical requests
5. References from previous clients or employers

Ideal Candidate Profile
You're detail-oriented, persistent, and understand that FOIA work requires patience and strategic thinking.
