**Job Summary:**
The Project Engineer (Civil Engineer) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing civil engineering projects from inception to completion. They ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols. The role involves collaborating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Review project plans, specifications, and technical drawings to understand project scope and requirements.
- Prepare detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate project execution.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure work complies with design specifications and safety standards.
- Manage and resolve technical issues that arise during construction, providing solutions and guidance.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, change orders, and other documentation needed for project tracking.
- Ensure all permits, licenses, and regulatory requirements are obtained and maintained.
- Assist in procurement activities, including bid evaluations and contract negotiations.
- Promote health and safety practices on-site, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety standards.
- Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, final inspections, and documentation handover.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional engineering license (PE) preferred but not mandatory.
- Proven experience in civil engineering projects, construction management, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
