We’re an Australian YouTube automation company. We manage multiple client channels and a growing team of contractors handling video production, editing, and channel operations.

To streamline operations, we need a WordPress Software Developer who can build a custom dashboard and contractor portal. This will allow us to manage client channels, assign work, and track contractor invoices all in one place.

The Role
We’re hiring a WordPress Software Developer to build a custom portal/dashboard system. This isn’t a standard website role — we need someone who can treat WordPress as a framework for software, creating custom functionality, data flows, and role-based access.

The dashboard will be used by:
• Admin/Management – to track all channels, financials, and contractor performance.
• Contractors – to log in, view assigned tasks, and upload invoices.
• Clients (Optional) – to view channel performance summaries or reports.

Responsibilities
• Develop a custom WordPress dashboard and portal from the ground up.
• Create role-based logins (Admin, Contractor, Client).
• Build modules for:
• Channel management – overview of client channels, status, and key metrics.
• Contractor management – assign work, track task progress, store files.
• Invoice logging – contractors upload invoices, admin approve, and export for payments.
• Reporting – dashboards for channel performance, tasks, and financials.
• Integrate APIs (YouTube Data API, Google Drive, or accounting tools if required).
• Ensure strong security, scalability, and user experience.
• Provide clear documentation and ongoing technical support.

Tools & Tech You Should Be Familiar With
• WordPress Core Development (hooks, filters, WP REST API)
• Custom Post Types (CPTs) & Advanced Custom Fields (ACF Pro)
• PHP (intermediate to advanced level)
• JavaScript/jQuery for interactivity
• MySQL/Database design for storing channel/contractor data
• REST API integrations (e.g. YouTube Data API, Google APIs, accounting platforms)
• User & Role Management (custom solutions or plugins like MemberPress / WP User Manager)
• File handling (Google Drive API, WP Media Library extensions)
• Reporting/visualisation libraries (Chart.js, WP DataTables, Metabase integration)
• Security plugins & best practices (Wordfence, iThemes Security, custom hardening)
• Version control (GitHub/GitLab)
• Bonus: Familiarity with Laravel, React, or Vue for more advanced customisations.

Requirements
• 3+ years of WordPress development (custom plugins, dashboards, or portals — not just brochure sites).
• Experience integrating APIs and building workflow automation inside WordPress.
• Strong PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript skills.
• Understanding of secure file sharing and financial data handling.
• Excellent English communication and documentation skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solver.
