JOB OVERVIEW

Position Summary

The Client Relations & Business Development VA drives AIM’s growth as a premier interpreter testing and service provider. This role focuses on building partnerships with schools, agencies, and organizations locally and nationally, while promoting AIM as the go-to site for interpreter certification. The VA will also coordinate AIM’s presence at conferences, ensuring interpreters and agencies connect directly with AIM to schedule testing and services.

Business Objectives for Growth

Grow AIM’s presence as a certification testing site for NIC, EIPA, and other professional assessments.
Build long-term partnerships with local schools, districts, and agencies to provide testing and interpreting services (in-person and remote).
Expand AIM’s network of partner agencies across states, offering testing as an incentive for workforce development.
Develop AIM’s conference strategy, ensuring AIM is represented and securing new candidates and partners at each event.

Key Responsibilities

Research and identify potential partner agencies, schools, and organizations.
Reach out to decision-makers, schedule meetings, and present AIM’s services.
Manage and track partnership leads in a CRM (Google Sheets, Airtable, or similar).
Create incentive packages for agencies to send their interpreters through AIM for certification.
Coordinate AIM’s participation in conferences, including booth/space setup and sign-up systems for on-site testing or screenings.
Follow up with agencies and individuals after conferences to confirm bookings and partnerships.
Provide weekly updates on new leads, ongoing negotiations, and closed partnerships.

Expectations

Establish at least 3–5 new partnership conversations per week (schools, agencies, organizations).
Secure 1 new agency agreement per month (goal to grow).
Coordinate AIM’s conference calendar and ensure sign-up materials are ready.
Maintain accurate reports of outreach, sign-ups, and confirmed bookings.
Attend weekly check-in meetings with AIM leadership to align business development goals.
