We are a fast-growing Virtual CFO advisory firm serving clients across Australia. Our services include high-level financial strategy, BAS preparation, full-service bookkeeping, payroll, and accounts management.

We are now hiring a highly experienced Senior Bookkeeping Manager to lead our team and set up scalable systems as we grow.

This is a senior-level leadership position, not a role for junior bookkeepers or those looking to learn. We are looking for someone who has deep experience in Australian bookkeeping and compliance, and knows how to manage teams and systems with excellence. ???? Responsibilities

Xero Systems Implementation
? Set up and configure Xero Practice Manager (XPM) and Xero Tax from scratch
? Build efficient, scalable workflows and job templates - possibly using Karbon, Zoho or Keeper
? Help create SOPs for recurring tasks and team operations - Mainly for BAS preparation and checking of bookkeeping

Bookkeeping & BAS Oversight
? Oversee full-service bookkeeping for Australian clients: AP, AR, payroll, bank reconciliations
? Handle monthly/quarterly BAS review and preparation
? Maintain accuracy, timeliness, and compliance

Team Leadership
? Manage and review the work of junior bookkeepers
? Provide training, feedback, and quality assurance
? Help build and grow a high-performing offshore team

? Requirements

? 6+ years of Australian bookkeeping experience
(Must include BAS, payroll, AP/AR—not tax returns) (emphasis on Australian)

? Experience setting up and managing Xero Tax & XPM

? Strong leadership and team management background

? Excellent attention to detail and high standards for quality

? Fluent in English (written and spoken), and good internet (client meetings will be part of it)

? Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

Experience working with a Virtual CFO or accounting firm

Prior leadership of a remote accounting/bookkeeping team

Ability to write internal documentation or SOPs
