About the Role:
We're a 10-year-old behavioral health practice in Detroit, Michigan seeking an experienced RCM specialist to take ownership of our billing operations. This is a direct-hire position with a small, stable practice that values quality work and work-life balance.

The Reality:
Our billing needs significant improvement. We're currently at 70% collection rate with a 30?nial rate - primarily Medicaid claims. You'll be building processes from scratch, investigating old denials, and creating systems where none currently exist. This role requires someone who can work independently and take initiative to fix problems without constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with CFO
- Post ERAs and reconcile payments daily
- Work denial queues systematically and file appeals
- Research and resolve claim issues with payers
- Build tracking systems for billing metrics
- Handle Michigan Medicaid and commercial payer billing
- Create SOPs and documentation as you develop processes
- Provide daily updates on progress and challenges

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years US medical billing experience
- Strong experience with Medicaid billing and denials
- Proficiency with ERA posting and payment reconciliation
- Experience working remotely with US healthcare companies
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace
- Available for occasional meetings during US business hours

Preferred Qualifications:
- Behavioral/mental health billing experience
- TherapyNotes or similar EMR experience
- Experience building billing processes from scratch
- Knowledge of Michigan Medicaid specifically

What We Offer:
- $1,000 USD per month starting salary
- 13th month pay
- Philippine daytime work schedule (no night shift required)
- Direct deposit via Wise bi-weekly
- Stable, long-term position with family-owned practice
- Opportunity to build and own processes

What Success Looks Like:
Month 1: Understanding our systems and identifying key issues
Month 3: Collection rate improving, denial rate decreasing
Month 6: Achieved 85% collection rate with established processes

To Apply
Please submit:

1. Your resume showing relevant RCM experience
2. A brief description of the most challenging billing issue you've resolved
3. Your earliest available start date

In your application, please mention your experience with US Medicaid billing specifically.
We're looking to hire quickly for the right candidate. Only applicants with substantial US healthcare billing experience will be considered.
