Job Title: Virtual Assistant (Content Creation & Support Tasks)

Main Responsibilities (80%)

Clip and edit videos into reels from the content provided

Create engaging short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts

Post 1–3 reels/shorts per day across platforms

Optimize content for views and engagement

Other Responsibilities (20%)

Respond to emails

Handle reconciliations and basic accounting tasks (expense tracking in Excel)

Sign up for events and handle registrations

Conduct research as needed

Workload & Expectations

Average workday: 4–6 hours editing content, plus 2 hours posting and brainstorming ideas, and an additional 2 hours handling administrative tasks similar to an executive assistant (email responses, reconciliations, expense tracking, sign-ups, research, etc.)

If you need me to quickly record a voiceover or film additional content, I can provide it on short notice

I have around 5 years of content archived, so we have plenty of material to work with for the next few months

You are working US Central time zones! Pay is $500 base + Commission, which usually ends up being $1000 total based on the views. Higher views = higher commission.

Requirements

Familiarity with video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Canva, or InShot

Strong understanding of short-form content trends and social media platforms

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Reliable internet connection

Interview Process

Step 1

Send me a reel or content you created in the past that received good views.

Briefly explain your experience with content creation.

Step 2 (Starting 9/8)

I will share a folder with videos/pictures (mostly travel/lifestyle content).

You will create a reel and post it to a test IG account I provide.

Add your initials as a hashtag in the caption (e.g., if your initials are CD, write #CD).

You may submit up to 3 posts in any style you’d like—be creative.

Step 3

After 7 days, I will review engagement (likes/interactions).

The post(s) with the best performance will move forward to final consideration.
