We are in the process of launching a new business related to superannuation funds, and we’re looking for someone who can grow with us and help build it from the ground up. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new venture.
Good accounting skills are absolutely essential in this role, as you’ll be supporting the Director as their right hand. As the business scales, so will your role and opportunities for growth.
About the Role
We need a person who can blend executive support with financial expertise, while learning and applying the complex rules and regulations of the superannuation industry.
You’ll be the Director’s 2IC, driving initiatives, ensuring compliance, and helping to shape the operational and financial foundation of the business.
Key Responsibilities
• Executive Support: Manage Director’s calendar,
• Superannuation Focus: Learn, research, and apply industry-specific regulations.
• Business Building: Contribute to setting up systems, processes, and frameworks to support the launch and growth of the superannuation business.
• Client & Partner Engagement: Liaise with clients and partners, manage communications, and coordinate meetings.
• Documentation & Strategy: Prepare proposals, and presentations; act as a sounding board to the Director for key decisions.
• Versatility: Take ownership of a variety of tasks, from admin to finance to operational delivery, ensuring the business runs smoothly.
About You
We need someone who is as comfortable balancing books as they are balancing priorities.
Essential qualities:
• Qualified accountant
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to establish and manage accounting systems.
• Quick learner, able to rapidly understand superannuation rules and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident in client-facing settings.
• Tech-savvy; proficient with Microsoft Office
• Entrepreneurial mindset—resourceful, proactive, and eager to build something from scratch.
• High integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial and business information.
