Trade Operations Specialist

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for classifying Western Digital’s products, components and technology with:
o Assignment of Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS) in accordance with the importing and exporting country tables. Knowledge of GRI’s, understanding of referring Chapter Notes, Section notes & Cross Rulings.
o Assignment of Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN's) according to the Bureau of Industry and Security's, Commerce Control List (CCL)
• Communicate with relevant vendors, engineering design /Product Management/Sales/Procurement team to determine and validate product classification.
• Respond and maintain classification data in the Oracle-GTM, and complete classifications assigned within the defined turnaround time.
