We’re Media Island, a Gold Coast–based digital and creative agency that specialises in pubs, clubs, and hospitality venues across Australia. We design websites, EDM campaigns, event promotions, and digital content that keep venues buzzing and engaged with their local communities.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a talented Motion Designer / Animator to create engaging, on-brand motion graphics and animations tailored for the pub and club industry. Projects will include:
• Animated event promos (live music, trivia nights, karaoke, themed parties).
• Short-form animations for EDM banners, websites, and social media.
• Screen animations for in-club displays and digital signage.
• Dynamic transitions and graphics for club marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with our creative director and designers to bring event concepts to life through animation.
• Deliver polished animations optimised for digital and social channels.
• Understand the pub/club audience - designs should feel fun, energetic, and community-driven.
• Meet deadlines reliably while maintaining high-quality standards.

Skills & Experience
• Strong skills in After Effects, Premiere Pro, and/or Blender/Cinema4D.
• Experience creating animations for hospitality, events, or entertainment (preferred).
• Strong sense of timing, rhythm, and typography animation.
• Ability to adapt to client branding guidelines and deliver consistent styles.
• Portfolio/reel showcasing motion design work (hospitality or events industry is a big plus).
