We’re looking for a creative, self-starting video editor who knows how to make short-form content go viral. You should be an expert at combining visual, verbal, and viral hooks to capture attention in the first 3 seconds, keep viewers engaged until the end, and drive action (saves, shares, follows).
If you know how to create magic from a basic talking-head video—by adding b-roll, captions, cuts, transitions, sound effects, music, overlays, and motion graphics when needed—this role is for you.
This is not a “just follow instructions” role. We want someone who can think outside the box, spice up content beyond the brief, and deliver videos one step ahead of what’s expected.
Responsibilities:
Edit short-form videos (15–60s) for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
Apply the Viral Video Formula: Hook, Retention, CTA.
Add captions, trending sounds, overlays, b-roll, and graphics.
Stay updated with trends and editing styles to keep content fresh.
Deliver high-quality edits with fast turnaround times.
Requirements:
Proven experience editing viral short-form content (portfolio required).
Strong skills in editing software (CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc).
Deep understanding of pacing, storytelling, and retention strategies.
Creative mindset with ability to generate fresh ideas without much direction.
Bonus: Motion graphics + experience creating AI-generated, realistic, professional polished videos using tools like MidJourney, Higgsfield, or similar.
Compensation:
10 hours per week
$7.50 USD/hour ($300 USD per month baseline)
Potential to increase to 20 hours per week ($600 USD/month) based on performance and company growth.
