Licensed Lawyer (Philippines) – Online Defamation & Retaliation Case

We are seeking a licensed attorney based in the Philippines to provide legal guidance and representation regarding an online defamation and retaliation matter. The case involves a former clerical contractor who, after receiving an honest review of his services, has retaliated by posting multiple false and defamatory reviews about our U.S.-based business.

Responsibilities:

Review and analyze contracts, communication records, and supporting documentation.

Advise on applicable Philippine laws (including RA 10175 Cybercrime Prevention Act and defamation statutes).

Draft and send formal legal notices to the individual involved.

Provide guidance on possible civil and/or criminal remedies in the Philippines.

Coordinate remotely and prepare any necessary legal documents.

Requirements:

Must be a licensed practicing lawyer in the Philippines (with verifiable credentials).

Experience in cybercrime, defamation, or online harassment cases is strongly preferred.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work with international clients.

Availability for remote consultations and document preparation.

Additional Information:This is a freelance engagement. Compensation will be discussed based on the scope of work. Applicants must provide proof of bar license/registration, relevant case experience, and availability.
