We’re on a mission to build a national accounting network of independent firms, united under a parent company that provides operational efficiency, growth opportunities, and enablement with technology. To power this vision, we’re looking for an M&A Sourcing & Outreach Specialist to drive our pipeline of acquisition opportunities.
You’ll be the engine behind our deal flow: researching target firms, initiating outreach, and opening doors with owners. Working directly with the acquisition team, you’ll ensure that qualified, engaged targets move smoothly into first conversations.
Responsibilities:
1. Target Research & Qualification
- Help build and continuously refine a master list of 10,000+ target accounting firms
- Research and qualify firms using tools like Apollo, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, and other enrichment platforms
- Maintain accurate, structured records in our CRM and reporting dashboards
2. Outreach & Engagement:
- Initiate and manage cold outreach campaigns via phone,
- Nurture prospects through the funnel by maintaining consistent and professional communication across touchpoints
- Share and exchange key information (e.g., buyer teaser, company materials) to qualify interest and move prospects forward in the pipeline
- Present our value proposition clearly and confidently, tailoring messaging to firm owner priorities
- Secure and schedule introductory meetings for the acquisition team, ensuring a smooth handover and continuity of relationship.
3. Coordination & Support
- Track pipeline and statuses, report outreach performance, track conversion
- Ensure clean and consistent data flow between sourcing, CRM, and M&A team processes
- Support deal team with insights on target firm positioning and initial feedback.
Qualifications & Experience
- Familiarity with the M&A process and buyer-seller dynamics, with a clear understanding of how sourcing and initial engagement fit into the overall deal cycle
- Direct experience managing outreach funnels, cold calling, and securing qualified meetings with executives
- 2+ years in M&A sourcing, business development, or corporate development
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent written and spoken American English; confident communicator with U.S. firm owners
- Strong data handling skills (Google Sheets, CRMs, enrichment tools)
- Self-starter mindset with high attention to detail, persistence, and ability to hit targets
- Understanding of M&A process and buyer-seller dynamics
