Full-Stack Software Engineer – Construction Project Management & Back-Office SaaS
About Us
We’re looking for a highly skilled Full-Stack Software Engineer who can design, build, and launch a robust SaaS platform that serves as both a construction project management tool and a back-office business solution. This role involves full ownership of product development—front-end, back-end, and integrations.

Responsibilities
• Core Product Development: Build a complete SaaS solution that covers both project management (field-side) and back-office operations (estimating, accounting, reporting).
• Architecture & Design: Define scalable architecture for multi-module software, including construction workflows, finance modules, and company dashboards.
• Front-End Development: Create an intuitive UI/UX for:
• Project dashboards
• Scheduling (Gantt charts, timelines, milestones)
• Estimating and cost proposals
• Invoicing and bookkeeping tools
• Company dashboard with multi-user roles
• Back-End Development: Develop APIs, secure authentication, role-based access, and data systems to power:
• Estimating workflows (bid proposals, cost libraries, markup, profit margins)
• Bookkeeping (invoices, payments, expense tracking, reports)
• Document management and versioning
• Team communication and notifications
• Company Dashboard & User Management: Build a central admin panel where company leaders can:
• Add and manage multiple users (admins, project managers, accountants, field staff)
• Control permissions by role
• Generate custom reports and analytics
• Integrations: Enable integrations with third-party systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Procore, or payment gateways).
• Security & Compliance: Ensure financial and project data is handled securely, with compliance to relevant standards.
• Scalability: Ensure the platform can support multiple companies, projects, and financial records at once.

Qualifications
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Strong back-end experience (Node.js, Python/Django, Ruby on Rails, or similar).
• Knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience building financial/estimating systems (invoicing, cost tracking, payment flows).
• Strong understanding of APIs (REST/GraphQL).
• Cloud deployment expertise (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with real-time systems (WebSockets, Firebase).
• Authentication & permissions (OAuth, JWT, SSO, RBAC).
• DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes).
Soft Skills
• Ability to design intuitive workflows for both construction managers and office staff.
• Strong analytical skills for building accurate estimating & bookkeeping modules.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and self-driven builder.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with founders, designers, and early users.

Preferred Background
• 3–7 years of experience in full-stack SaaS development.
• Prior experience building multi-module business applications (ERP, accounting, or project management).
