Full Time: Shopify Developer and Guide PH Day Time

Hello!

Our ecommerce business sells dinnerware, flatware, glasses, and other gifts. We've owned the business for 3 years and we have a good group of workers from the Philippines that help us run the Amazon and ebay side of things. We have a Basic Template Shopify Website that is not producing and we would like to change that scenario - a ground up rebuild per say.

Before reading the rest of the post - please ask yourself if you feel comfortable and have the knowledge to build a Shopify site from the ground up and have it produce, proficient in SEO updates, and can guide others to help create the vision. If the answer is yes, then please continue.

Required Skills for the full time position:

- Graphics Design - When Shopify work slows down or a priority arises - we will work on an array of projects that will require graphics design. Building 4-114 piece dinnerware sets for primary images and lifestyle images from 2D photos and renders of single pieces is an example of the design work. Photoshop skills put you at the front of the line. We also use Canva and ---------- for AI image creation and soon - videos.

- Ability to build a Shopify site from scratch and have the knowledge to either modify the site or know what needs to be done to guide a part time or gig worker to complete a needed task.

Shopify Skills:

- Have experience building Shopify sites in the past. We'll discuss your portfolio in the interview
- Shopify Liquid
- HTML CSS JavaScript jQuery JSON
- Third party integrations
- REST GraphQL APIs
- Git or other tracking as there will be part time or gig workers helping with Shopify from time to time
- Familiarity with cart flows, upsells, cross-sells, checkout optimizations, etc.
- Mobile and desktop design minded
- SEO everything - tags, schema markup, speed of site, etc
- Ad Hoc report building
- Analytics, marketing, ads
- Support and maintenance
- We have our own style guide built and ready

Other:

- Will learn how to complete product listings and variation updates across all ecommerce platforms
- We are a small business, so if a priority arises there will be chances to learn Amazon and ebay skills as we pivot
- Pretty much - anything that comes up, we work together to accomplish tasks that come our way every day - there are chances to learn a LOT about ecommerce with our group

Other than the required skills, if there is a Shopify skill you are not strong in, we will be hiring expert gig workers to cover for those skills while you build them up. So, if you're not strong in some of the Shopify skills above, we would appreciate knowing that in the application - we're ok with that. There will be a lot of collaboration with part time and gig workers as you guide them as well as projects with members of our current team. We have a good group of people that enjoy their work and working together to complete a project as priorities arise.

Our core hours are 10 am PH to 2 pm PH for quick, pivotal meetings. We use ---------- to communicate since most of our meetings have 30 or so minute notices. We usually have 1 core meeting per day for updates. More if there is a priority project. Most log on around 9 am PH and work until around 5-6 pm. We're flexible with hours outside of meeting hours. The salary is DOE.
