Are you passionate about startups, storytelling, and bringing ideas to life on screen?
We’re looking for a video editor / social media marketer to help power the largest startup communities of ambitious founders from UC Berkeley, Stanford, and beyond.
You will create and edit high-impact, founder-first content for LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms, turning real-world startup insights into engaging short-form videos, dynamic posts, and shareable stories.
Your work will demystify the startup journey with sharp hooks, visual punch, and practical tools, helping founders validate faster and build smarter.
Responsibilities:
- Edit video content, including interviews, blogs, and promotional materials, ensuring a polished and professional look across short form and long form content.
- Adapt insights into multiple clips with strong hooks and clear takeaways.
- Post and optimize content for social media platforms such as YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Create eye-catching carousels, captions, titles, descriptions, and thumbnails that align with our brand voice to maximize viewer engagement.
- Research trending formats, sounds, and styles to keep content fresh and relevant.
- Monitor content performance and provide insights to improve reach and engagement
Requirements:
- Proven experience in social media content creation and video editing.
- Strong storytelling instincts and ability to create scroll-stopping hooks.
- Skilled in tools like Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar.
- Understanding of LinkedIn and YouTube content dynamics.
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and collaborative.
- Ability to condense complex founder insights into clear, compelling visuals and soundbites.
- Passion for storytelling and an interest in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Additional Information:
- You will receive sample videos, style guides, and additional resources to help you align with our brand voice.
- A short video editing and content creation test will be required as part of the application process.
