A plumbing services business in Sydney is looking for a highly experienced Finance & Accounting Specialist (CPA preferred) to manage end-to-end financial operations. This is a remote, part-time role (30 hrs/week), working closely with the business owner and operations team to ensure accurate bookkeeping, compliance, and financial transparency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage bookkeeping, bank reconciliations & payroll
- Oversee Accounts Receivable & Payable, invoicing & supplier payments
- Conduct job costing & profitability analysis
- Maintain rolling cashflow forecasts & monthly financial packs
- Ensure compliance with Australian regulations (tax, superannuation, workers comp)
- Propose system improvements (Xero automations & integrations)
Candidate Profile
- CPA or CA qualified (CPA preferred)
- 4–5+ years finance & accounting experience, ideally in trades/services
- Advanced Xero expertise
- Strong analytical, organisational & communication skills
- Independent and detail-oriented
