About Us
We are an established Australian trade services group handling projects across construction, civil works and specialist maintenance. As we expand, we need a detail-driven Bookkeeper with strong purchasing and admin skills to keep our numbers sharp and our supply chain running smoothly and can be all rounder with administration and assistance tasks
The Role
You will a day-to-day bookkeeping, help manage supplier purchasing, and support general administration. You will report directly to our Finance Manager in Australia and work closely with project managers, estimating and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
• End-to-end bookkeeping in Xero including bank feeds, reconciliations, journals and month-end close
• Accounts payable and receivable, debtor follow-ups and supplier payments
• Preparation of BAS drafts, payroll summaries, super calculations and simple financial reports
• Raise purchase orders, source quotations, track deliveries and liaise with trade suppliers
• Maintain an accurate inventory and job-cost tracking file for each project
• Process employee expense claims, credit card acquittals and petty cash
• File management, spreadsheet upkeep and general admin support as needed
• Keep Google Sheets updated and accurate.
• Assist with client admin and reporting.
• Track tasks and deadlines for the team.
• Support projects with day-to-day admin needs.
• Work to Australian accounting standards and maintain data privacy at all times
Must-Have Qualifications
• Minimum 3-5 years’ full-time bookkeeping experience with Australian or NZ clients
• Solid knowledge of construction or trade industry cost codes and supplier processes
• Proven skill in Xero, Google workspace, Excel or Google Sheets, Google docs and google drive, We also provide login to chatgpt plus account.
• Familiarity with GST, BAS, payroll and Australian award interpretations
• Experience raising and managing purchase orders and negotiating with suppliers
• Strong written and spoken English and comfortable working in AEST timezone
• Reliable home office set-up with fast internet and backup power
Nice to Have
• Certificate IV or higher in Accounting, Bookkeeping or Commerce
• Exposure to job-costing or project accounting software such as Xero and Project management platforms.
• Prior work with Australian building regulations or WHS documentation
• Xero Advisor Certification
Compensation & Benefits
• PHP 26,000 per month paid twice monthly via Wise or bank transfer
• Long-term role with clear performance reviews and upskilling opportunities
Working Hours
• Monday to Friday
• 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Brisbane time with half-hour lunch break
