We’re looking for a skilled podcast editor who has fully mastered Descript and can deliver high-quality edits with a fast turnaround. You should know the ins and outs of Descript — from multi-track editing and Studio Sound cleanup, to filler word removal, transcript editing, and exporting polished audio and video files.
A big plus if you’re also comfortable with Riverside.fm — whether that’s handling recordings, downloading raw tracks, or basic editing within the platform before moving into Descript.
Our show requires someone who can balance speed with precision. You should be able to cut out dead space and filler without losing the natural flow of the conversation, polish the audio to sound professional, and (when video is included) make simple video cuts that keep the episode engaging.
Responsibilities
Edit podcast episodes in Descript (audio and sometimes video).
Remove background noise, filler words, awkward pauses, and ensure smooth transitions.
Use Studio Sound or other Descript tools to enhance quality.
Add intro, outro, and ad segments as needed.
Export and deliver final files in requested formats.
(Optional) Assist with Riverside.fm workflow: downloading tracks, syncing files, light edits before Descript.
Deliver edits on time — usually within 48–72 hours of receiving raw files.
Requirements
Expert-level Descript skills (please showcase past work).
Strong audio editing sense — able to make episodes sound polished, natural, and consistent.
Ability to handle both audio-only and video podcast edits.
Reliable and fast turnaround.
Bonus: Experience with Riverside.fm.
