JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Video Reviewer (Experienced)

About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Video Reviewer to be the final set of eyes on all video content before approval. You will ensure every video is on-message, accurate, brand-consistent, technically sound, and compliant with our standards and processes. Content types include marketing, training, social media, and educational videos.

Responsibilities

Review videos for brand consistency, tone, and messaging alignment with briefs and guidelines.

Verify factual accuracy, clarity, and completeness of information.

Check grammar, captions/subtitles, on-screen text, and VO for correctness and readability.

Conduct technical quality checks (framing, audio levels, mix, sync, color, resolution, export settings, cuts/transitions).

Ensure compliance with legal, accessibility, and platform-specific requirements (e.g., disclaimers, music licensing, alt text/captions).

Validate adherence to content guidelines, workflows, and review checklists.

Provide clear, actionable feedback to editors, producers, and stakeholders; track revisions through to completion.

Maintain and refine review checklists, style guides, and QA processes.

Collaborate with brand, marketing, L&D, and social teams to uphold standards across formats and channels.

Prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

- 3–5+ years in video QA, post-production review, content editing, or a related role.
- cStrong command of brand and editorial standards; excellent attention to detail.
- Proven ability to assess technical quality: audio, color, graphics, pacing, and exports.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; concise, constructive feedback style.
- Proficiency with review/annotation tools (e.g., Frame.io, Wipster, Vimeo Review) and familiarity with NLEs (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) sufficient to reference technical notes.
- Experience reviewing for multiple formats: short-form social, long-form training, marketing, and educational content.
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards (captions, readability) and platform specs (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Understanding of rights/usage (music, footage, talent releases) a plus.

Compensation
$3 per short-form video (reel) reviewed
$7 per long-form video reviewed
Rates may increase as workload and responsibilities grow.

Employment: Part-time / project-based
Time Zone/Hours: Pacific Standard Time (flexible)

- Reduction in post-approval revisions and content errors.
- On-time delivery across projects with consistent adherence to brand and technical standards.
- Positive feedback from stakeholders on clarity and effectiveness of review notes.
