YouTube Video Editor (Long-form Documentary | B-Roll, Ambience, Thumbnails)

I am looking for a skilled video editor to join me in creating long-form YouTube videos (90–120 minutes) in a documentary style. The series will follow the story of time – from the Big Bang through major events in history – so pacing, visuals, and ambience are very important.

What I Provide:

Complete voice-over (VO)

Script with some notes on visuals and ambience for key moments

Leonardo AI account for generating images and video assets (you must know how to use prompts effectively and not waste credits)

What You Do:

Sync visuals (B-roll, AI assets, stock footage) with the VO

Add ambience, background sounds, and royalty-free music

Maintain engaging pacing in a documentary-style flow

Create an eye-catching thumbnail with CTA

Deliver a ready-to-upload MP4 video and thumbnail

Requirements:

Experience in video editing (Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci, or similar)

Strong understanding of storytelling and pacing

Skills in thumbnail design (Photoshop/Canva)

Familiarity with AI tools (Leonardo AI preferred)

Access to royalty-free sound/music libraries

Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines

Nice to Have:

Experience editing documentary, history, or educational videos

Knowledge of YouTube editing style to maximize retention

Compensation:

Open to hourly ($5–8/hr) or fixed per project

Full 90–120 min video: $80–120 depending on quality and speed

Potential for long-term work with multiple videos in the series
