Accounting & Bookkeeping Analyst

Role Description
We have a growing portfolio of hotels, wedding venues, and short term rental real estate properties. Our company is quickly growing and we’re looking to add an experienced bookkeeper to our accounting team to lead bookkeeping and accounting processes, as well as other excel analyses. This role will report to Reverie’s Accounting Associate Lead.

Job Responsibilities

ACCOUNTING & BOOKKEEPING
? Monthly bookkeeping in Quickbooks, using modified accrual accounting
? Monthly adjusting entries, including prepaid revenue, property tax payable, and insurance payable, gross revenue adjustments, year-end depreciation and adjustments
? Monthly preparation and review of financial statements
? Quarterly reconciliation of revenue earned to payment processor receipts (Stripe)
? Annual reconciliation of bank account balances and other checks (to be defined by you) to prepare our financial statements for tax filing
? Annual assistance with federal and state tax filings, according to applicable laws

AD-HOC ANALYSES
? Calculation of applicable taxes, including hotel tax, sales tax, mixed beverage taxes
? Calculation of intra-property expense allocations and sales commissions
? Quarterly preparation of formatted financials for investor reports and banks/lenders
? Quarterly preparation of investor financial reports

Qualifications
? 3-7+ years of prior work experience
? Authorized to work in the U.S. (Fully remote)
? Fluent in English and able to work at least 3 hours overlap with U.S. hours (9am – 5pm Central Time)
? Proficient in Quickbooks and Excel
? Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting rules
? Understanding of how to prepare financial statements (income statement, balance sheet)
? Analytical and problem solving abilities. Able to produce excel analyses with minimal oversight.
? Strong communication skills.
