Shopify Developer – Custom Donation App

• We need a skilled Shopify developer to build a custom donation feature for our store.
Requirements:

• Create hidden “Donation” product (non-taxable, non-shippable, excluded from discounts).

• Add required nonprofit dropdown in cart (several options, no default, customer must select).

• When nonprofit is selected, auto-add/update donation line item equal to 5% of cart subtotal.

• Donation must display in checkout as a line item: “5% for Good (Org Name).”

• Persist nonprofit name + donation amount to order metafields.

• Show donation on thank you page and order confirmation email.

• Provide README with instructions for editing nonprofit list and copy.

• Ensure donation updates dynamically with cart edits, discounts, and quantity changes.

• Prevent checkout until a nonprofit is selected.
