JOB OVERVIEW

Outreach & Research Assistant (Nonprofit)

About Us
The Victoria Jie Yang Foundation ( ---------- ) was established in loving memory of Victoria Jie Yang, a woman of faith, strength, and compassion. Founded by her son, Matthew Yao, the Foundation exists to glorify God through acts of service, restoration, and generosity.

Rooted in Christian values, we support and fund work that uplifts the vulnerable, restores dignity to the oppressed, and meets real needs with real love — particularly in communities across Asia and the developing world.

We’re seeking a part-time Outreach & Research Assistant to help us identify funding opportunities, connect with potential partners, and strengthen our outreach. This role is ideal for someone with VA experience who’s detail-oriented and eager to grow their skills in nonprofit research and development.

Responsibilities
Research and build lead lists from sources such as Christian foundations, education nonprofits, and government grant portals.
Collect and organize contact details: name, email, organization, and notes.
Support outreach efforts via email, LinkedIn, etc.
Track and maintain outreach records, reports, and responses.
Build and maintain your own LinkedIn profile to represent the Foundation professionally.

Qualifications
At least 1 year of Virtual Assistant (VA) experience.
Basic knowledge of email marketing and lead generation (experience in nonprofit/grant research is a strong plus).
Comfortable with LinkedIn and professional communication.
Detail-oriented, reliable, and organized.
Strong written English communication skills.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Compensation & Schedule
$3–5 USD/hour
~20 hours per week to start, with potential for more as we grow.
Remote work (Mon–Fri, 7:00 PM – 12:00 AM Perth Time).

How to Apply
