Video Editor (Short-Form TikTok Videos)

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Video Editor for TikTok Shop content. This is not an entry-level role. You must instinctively understand viewer retention, pacing, and what drives conversions. We provide detailed instructions. If you struggle to follow them or lack proven experience editing high-retention content, please do not apply.

Responsibilities

-Edit short-form product videos using DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or equivalent professional software.
-You must thoroughly study and execute our provided brand guidelines before incorporating any of your own editing styles. This is the single most critical requirement of this position. We have a highly specific aesthetic, and failing to follow these guidelines, or repeatedly applying your own unapproved style, will result in immediate termination.
- Trim out the mistakes and silent portions of the raw footage, and add B roll footage where necessary.
-Add captions, subtle zoom effects, and sound effects, as well as creative caption that fit our brand guidelines styles to enhance viewer engagement.
-Optimize videos strictly for TikTok (vertical format, pacing, hooks).
-Study our content ---------- on TikTok to deeply understand and replicate our specific visual style before editing.
- Your video editing workflow must be efficient, meaning you cannot manually add captions and waste time on things that can be automatically done using any free editing tool.

Requirements

- Proven Experience: Must have a portfolio of short-form, product-based video work.
- Communication: Fast response times and reliable communication during working hours are non-negotiable.
- Availability: Monday through Friday, at least a few hours a day.
- Pay Structure: Starting pay is $3.50 per completed video, with raises based on performance. You are paid only for approved videos. If a video is denied because it ignores our instructions or misses the mark on our style, you will not be paid for it.
- Work hours: You can work your own hours but you have to submit the videos on their due dates as required. You will have plenty of time to finish the videos before they are due. If you can't submit a video in time, you can simply let us know.

Test Project (Pass/Fail)

- To be considered, you must complete a short test project to prove your technical skills and attention to detail:
- You will receive raw clips and a reference video from us.
- Recreate the video matching our exact style, pacing, and structure.

Strict Export Settings: Deliver in vertical format (9:16), 1080x1920 at 60fps. Export using HEVC / H.265 compression and upload in Quicktime / .mov format. Failing to use these exact export settings will result in automatic disqualification.
