JOB OVERVIEW

Personal & Business Finance Manager (Bookkeeping + Financial Strategy)

About the Role:
I am looking to hire a reliable and detail-oriented person to help me gain a better grasp of my personal and business finances. This role goes beyond bookkeeping. I need someone who can track and organize transactions, analyze spending patterns, and work with me to create a strategy for paying down debt and making smarter financial decisions.

My goal is to gain financial clarity, eliminate debt, and build a stronger foundation for personal wealth and business growth. I want someone who can partner with me on this journey, not just enter data.

Responsibilities:

* Track and categorize all transactions (personal and business) on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
* Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
* Provide weekly summaries and detailed monthly reports with insights and action items.
* Help identify areas to save money and optimize spending habits.
* Develop a practical game plan for paying down debt while maintaining healthy cash flow.
* Provide recommendations to improve financial decision-making.
* Help set up the right tools and processes for tracking and reporting (QuickBooks, Google Sheets, or other platforms).
* Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion with all sensitive financial information.

Required Experience:

* Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management.
* Prior experience managing both personal and small business finances.
* Proven ability to track, categorize, and reconcile daily/weekly/monthly transactions.
* Hands-on experience using financial tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, Wave, or similar accounting software.
* Advanced proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets for financial tracking and reporting.
* Experience preparing cash flow reports, budgeting, and expense analysis.
* Familiarity with debt payoff strategies and personal finance management.
* Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive financial data.

Preferred:

* Experience working with entrepreneurs or small business owners.
* Background in financial coaching or advisory work is a plus.
* Experience working with Copilot Money is recommended.

Commitment:

* Part-time role with ongoing work.
* Flexible schedule, but consistency and reliability are key.
* Opportunity to grow into a long-term Finance Manager or Personal CFO role.

Compensation:

* $250/month ($125 paid 15th and 30th of the month)

How to Apply:
If you’re interested, please submit your resume and a short message explaining why you’d be a good fit. To confirm you’ve read the full description, please include the phrase “Smart Money with Steez” at the beginning of your application.
