Video Editor for Social Media (Short-Form Content)

About the Project
I create long-form educational videos on business, investing, and financial topics. I am looking for a skilled video editor to repurpose these into engaging short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts.

I’ll provide:

A version of the long-form video with subtitles

A version of the long-form video without subtitles

The transcript of the long-form video

A detailed list of the clips I want created, including headings and exact timestamps (see example below).

Your Responsibilities
For each clip, produce the following deliverables:

Video with current aspect ratio (from the version with subtitles).

Vertical 9:16 format (1080x1920 pixels) (from the version without subtitles) — add new, engaging subtitles in a style optimised for social media.

Transcript of the short clip.

Proposed Instagram description optimised for virality — including hooks, engaging copy, and relevant hashtags.

Scope of Work

In total, there are 176 clips to be produced.

The first job will be to edit one long-form video into ~25–30 short clips (using the timestamps I provide). This will serve as a paid test project to check the quality of the outputs.

If the test project is successful, you will be awarded the remaining videos (the full 176 clips).

What I’m Looking For

Experience editing short-form content for social media.

Strong subtitle design skills (eye-catching, readable, and professional).

Creative writing skills for captions that drive engagement.

Detail-oriented — clips must match timestamps and headings.

Ability to deliver clean, high-quality files ready to upload.

Deliverables per Long-Form Video (Test Project)

Around 25–30 short clips (based on timestamps I provide).

Each clip delivered in:
