As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, while ensuring compliance with Canadian accounting standards. Your expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance will contribute to the success of our company’s operations.

Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Perform variance analysis comparing actual results against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
• Analyze financial trends, business performance, and operational data to provide insights and recommendations to management.
• Support preparation of presentations and financial reports for executive leadership.
Financial Reporting
• Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements in compliance with ASPE.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.
• Deliver clear and concise reports that support informed business decisions.
Cash Flow & Financing Support
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure financial stability.
• Assist in building financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and evaluating business opportunities.
Risk Management & Internal Controls
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial reporting standards.
• Identify financial risks and recommend improvements to mitigate potential issues and enhance financial processes, tools, and reporting efficiency.
Cross-Functional Support
• Collaborate with accounting, operations, and management teams to gather data for analysis and reporting.
• Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to support business decisions.
Required skills & experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. (CPA or MBA designation is an asset).
• 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Understanding of ASPE (knowledge of CRA tax compliance is an asset).
• Proficiency with MS Excel (advanced modeling skills required); experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Excel) to create actionable insights.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
