JOB OVERVIEW

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Remote Low Voltage Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of low voltage system installations, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in low voltage systems and excellent remote project management skills, including the ability to coordinate with technicians, clients, and vendors from a distance.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation. Lead the execution of low voltage projects from inception to completion, including structured cabling, access control, CCTV, fire alarms, and audio/visual systems.

Team and Resource Management: Coordinate and manage remote installation teams, subcontractors, and vendors. Ensure all personnel have the necessary resources, information, and support to complete their tasks efficiently.

Client and Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, and internal stakeholders. Provide regular project updates, address concerns, and manage expectations to ensure client satisfaction.

Financial Oversight: Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and manage change orders. Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

Risk Management: Proactively identify potential project risks and issues, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project progress.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous project documentation, including contracts, drawings, reports, and as-built documents. Prepare and present detailed status reports and financial forecasts to leadership.

Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the field teams as needed. Ensure all work complies with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

Qualifications
Proven experience as a project manager in the low voltage industry (minimum of [X] years).

In-depth technical knowledge of low voltage systems, including: structured cabling (copper and fiber), security systems, access control, fire alarms, and AV.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

Strong understanding of architectural plans, blueprints, and technical drawings.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

Experience with remote team management and a high level of comfort with video conferencing and collaboration tools.

Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, BICSI, NICET) are a plus.

A reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office setup are essential.
