## Work with exciting end-user facing projects in Europe and US
My name is David and I’ve been developing software for almost twenty years now and I now find I have more work than I can take on myself.
I’m looking for someone to short-time begin taking over my tasks at one of my clients and long term hopefully working with me and them full-time. Potentially, there are other in-house projects I am also looking to get help with.
I work across the board, doing both backend and frontend and now moving more towards strategy and business direction which is why I’m looking for someone to come and help take the reins on the actual development work.
You’ll have the opportunity to work on projects which are still growing and have a lot of room for input from yourself as well as having me close by for mentorship and discussion. I’m hoping to help you grow your career from this as well.
## Role Overview
Primarily, the client contract I am hiring for will require working with SQL, Python (FastAPI+OpenAPI) and React. Our full stack include AWS, Timescale (Postgresql), Supabase, React (Lovable) and Flutter.
The product is a end-user application for collecting health product reviews backed by glucose data (third party integration).
You will be working primarily on building out the React dashboard which we’ve built with Lovable and Supabase as well as managing data querying through our BI platform Metabase and building out the Python API where required.
You’ll be working directly with me and we can be in communication daily most time during 9-16 (Central European Time).
## Timeline
Although not a strict requirement, I’m hoping to onboard you from September 1st.
## Working environment
We’re a very small team and you will mostly interact with me, if and when required, with my client. We communicate over Slack and Google Meets. You’ll be asked to do a high-level time reporting but really, deliverables are the key and not time spent. We’ll connect at least once weekly to set new goals for the coming week.
Commits are kept small and documented in GitHub and merged one by one as they are getting reviewed and approved.
## Compensation
My initial budget is $500/month but I am hoping to increase this over time based.
Although the contract may not be “per hours” but rather deliverables, I expect compensation to updated at around 5% bi-annually.
As is becoming the norm, the use of AI tools is encouraged when applied with care and I will be sponsoring any AI tools required outside of the hourly compensation.
Payments will be made out within seven days of the month following invoice at the end of month. I.e. invoice September 30th will be paid out before October 7th.
