Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our team. The Legal Assistant will provide administrative and document preparation support to attorneys, clients, and our internal staff. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, has strong communication skills, and enjoys working in a fast-paced legal support environment.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, proofread, and format legal documents (motions, pleadings, affidavits, discovery responses, etc.). Family Law
Organize and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Conduct client intake, scheduling, and follow-up communications.
Assist with e-filing, service of documents, and court deadline tracking.
Perform legal research and fact-checking as needed.
Support attorneys and paralegals in case management and preparation for hearings, mediations, and trials.
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff in a professional manner.

Qualifications

Prior experience as a family law legal assistant, paralegal, or administrative professional in a legal setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of legal terminology and document formatting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace (Word, Excel, Docs, Sheets).
Familiarity with legal case management software is a plus.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
