We’re seeking a highly experienced Senior Website Developer with deep WordPress expertise to help us enhance, manage, and grow our online platforms.

Role Overview

As our Senior Website Developer, you will take ownership of our WordPress website—ensuring it is modern, secure, user-friendly, and aligned with our business goals. This role starts as part-time or project-based but may evolve into a full-time opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain, edit, and enhance our existing WordPress website.
Customize themes, templates, and plugins as needed.
Optimize website performance, responsiveness, and SEO.
Ensure site security, backups, and smooth updates.
Collaborate with the team to implement new features and content updates (painting services, case studies, project galleries, etc.).
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly.


Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of hands-on WordPress experience (design, editing, and development).
Strong knowledge of PHP, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
Proven track record in maintaining and scaling WordPress websites.
Familiarity with UI/UX best practices and website optimization.
Bonus: Experience working with painting, construction, or home improvement industry websites.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment during AEST business hours.

WordPress (themes, plugins, page builders like Elementor/Divi)
cPanel / Hosting Management
SEO tools (Yoast, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar)
Google Analytics & Search Console
Website security and backup tools
Graphic editing tools (Canva / Adobe Creative Suite)
