???? Job Post: PR Assistant Extraordinaire (Medical + Coaching Niches)
We’re seeking a PR Assistant with a medical/biology background who can help amplify our brand presence in the media. You will be responsible for responding to journalist queries (HARO, Quoted, etc.), drafting professional answers, and tracking opportunities in both the medical weight loss (GLP-1) niche and the burnout recovery/coaching niche.
If you’re detail-oriented, research-driven, and love transforming science into clear, credible insights — we want you.
???? Responsibilities
Review daily PR request
Draft concise, professional responses (neutral tone) that summarize research clearly and cite credible sources (PubMed, Google Scholar, etc.).
Submit drafts for approval before sending.
Track accepted/declined queries in a shared Google Sheet.
Build a repository of research citations for faster responses in the future.
Monitor recurring journalist topics to help us identify blog post opportunities aligned with media demand.
? Requirements
Background in medicine, nursing, biology, physiology, or a related field (RN/PA/NP/MD/biology degree strongly preferred).
Strong English writing skills (must explain science in plain language).
Ability to read and summarize research articles and abstracts.
Highly detail-oriented and reliable — able to meet short deadlines.
Comfortable working 20 hours/week, part-time, remotely.
No AI use. Writing must be original and plagiarism-free.
???? Why This Role Matters
Your work will help us build authority, trust, and visibility in two high-impact spaces:
Medical weight loss for women using GLP-1 treatments.
Trauma-informed burnout recovery coaching.
You’ll be the bridge between research and real people — helping our voice show up in national conversations.
???? Tools You’ll Use
Google Scholar / PubMed (for research citations)
Gmail (PR queries will be forwarded)
Google Docs + Sheets (drafts + tracker)
???? Screening Questions (Answer ALL to be considered)
Please share your medical/biology background (degree, training, or experience) and how it prepares you to read/review research papers.
Write a short sample response (4–6 sentences) to this PR-style query: “We’re looking for expert insight on the biggest misconceptions about GLP-1 medications for weight loss.” (Cite one credible source.)
Have you ever worked with tight turnaround deadlines (same-day or 24h)? If yes, share an example.
4. Our coaching brand often speaks about faith, identity, and trauma recovery in a way that is professional, identity-affirming, and non-preachy. Please write a short response (4–6 sentences) to this PR-style query: “How can women leaders of color prevent burnout while staying true to their identity and values?” (No religious jargon, but you may weave in subtle faith-informed perspective if relevant.)
