JOB OVERVIEW

About the role
You make projects easy to run and easy to support. You own templates, keep docs clear and current, and turn projects into great KBs/SOPs for the helpdesk.

What you’ll do
- Maintain a simple style guide, naming rules, and folder structure.
- Keep templates for project summary, design notes, go-live, rollback, tests, change packet, as-built, KB, and lessons learned.
- Set documentation checkpoints; review and chase missing pieces before cutover.
- Publish KB/SOPs that Tier 1/2 can actually use; tag and link for search.
- Package change documentation and i ---------- timelines/lessons after big events.
- Run light QA (clarity, completeness, working links); coach writers; manage doc tools.

You’ll thrive if you have
- 3+ years in technical writing, documentation management, or knowledge management (IT/MSP a plus).
- Clear writing in plain English; you love step-by-step instructions.
- Experience with SharePoint/Confluence/Notion/Git and diagramming tools.

Nice to have
- Familiarity with M365, basic networking terms, and helpdesk workflows.
- Light scripting/automation for docs (exporters, link checks).

Contract & logistics
- Remote, business hours (8am-5pm PST) with occasional after-hours for cutover notes.
- Must pass a criminal record check on start and annually thereafter.
- Contract rate: commensurate with experience
