About the role
You’ll run a busy portfolio of IT projects—from “we need this” to “it’s live and handed to support.” You keep people aligned, dates real, risks small, and updates clear.
What you’ll do
- Triage new requests, set priorities, and keep the portfolio board current.
- Build simple plans with owners, dates, and clear success criteria.
- Run weekly check-ins and remove blockers across teams and vendors.
- Send crisp weekly status and prep go/no-go packs for cutovers.
- Manage risk/issue lists and process change requests.
- Coordinate budgets/quotes and confirm deliverables before approvals.
- Ensure runbooks, tests, and as-built docs exist before closure; drive handover.
You’ll thrive if you have
- 4+ years delivering IT projects (SMB/mid-market or MSP experience a plus).
- Clear, calm communication with execs, engineers, and end users.
- Strong scheduling, follow-through, and expectation management.
- Comfortable with PSA/ticketing, project boards, and basic spreadsheets.
Nice to have
- Experience with M365, networking basics, or endpoint management.
- Vendor coordination and change/cutover orchestration.
Contract & logistics
- Remote, business hours (8am-5pm PST) with occasional after-hours/weekends for cutovers.
- Must pass a criminal record check on start and annually thereafter.
- Contract rate: commensurate with experience
