Governed by a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), we prioritize decentralization, sustainability, and employee empowerment, starting in high-traffic urban areas like Lancaster, York, Harrisburg, Allentown, and Reading, with plans for national franchising.

As our Virtual Business Manager & Phone Assistant, you’ll drive daily operations and customer interactions, reporting directly to the founder (Eric Grill) during the initial phase, with a transition to DAO-led oversight. This is a full-time remote position (40 hours/week), ideal for a candidate in the Philippines who can align with U.S. Eastern Time (EST) hours (e.g., 9 AM - 5 PM EST, with flexibility). A mandatory daily standup (huddle) via Slack at 10 AM EST ensures team alignment and progress updates.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Phone Functions (50% of Role):** Manage inbound and outbound calls using VoIP tools (e.g., Google Voice or similar). Responsibilities include answering customer inquiries about services like basic wash tags ($250), custom designs, multi-location packages, and add-ons (e.g., QR codes); calling customers, clients, and technicians as needed for scheduling, follow-ups, issue resolution, or coordination (e.g., for stencil applications, monthly refreshes, or beta tests at gas stations); and delivering exceptional customer service to foster long-term client relationships across niches like municipalities, gas stations, retail centers, restaurants, events, and educational institutions.
- **Business Management (50% of Role):** Develop and maintain comprehensive business operating procedures (SOPs) for all functions, including sales, operations, technician workflows, DAO governance, and franchising, documenting them in Slack for team access; oversee daily operations, coordinating with power wash technicians (starting with 2) and managing equipment inventory and scheduling to achieve goals like 50 customers/month; assist with marketing outreach (e.g., lead generation for sales reps); track operational metrics (e.g., billable hours, client acquisition) using Slack channels; support DAO governance by preparing simple proposals for token-based voting (no deep blockchain expertise required, training provided); hire additional staff (e.g., technicians, sales reps) to support expansion, managing recruitment via shared HR resources; prepare franchise setup materials, such as Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDD), stored in Slack; and facilitate the founder’s quick transition by assuming operational leadership.
- **General Support:** Leverage shared resources for HR, payroll, and accounting; monitor progress toward break-even (within 6 months) and Year 1 revenue goals ($300,000); integrate digital tools like QR codes for client campaigns; ensure compliance with property permissions and local regulations; and use Slack for project management (e.g., task assignments, timelines), document management (e.g., SOPs, client contracts), and daily huddles.

**Accountability:**
- **To StencilWash Business:** You’ll be measured on KPIs such as client acquisition (targeting 50/month), customer satisfaction (via feedback scores), operational efficiency (e.g., 70% billable technician time), successful implementation of SOPs (documented and adopted via Slack), and effective hiring to support growth. You’ll contribute to beta testing at gas stations for national expansion. Weekly reports on leads, sales, operations, and hiring progress will be shared via Slack, with potential DAO token options (ownership incentives) after a 2-year cliff for high performers.
- **To the Founder (Eric Grill):** Provide daily/weekly updates via Slack messages, channels, or the 10 AM EST huddle (video calls via Slack or Zoom) on key activities, challenges, and decisions. You’ll support the founder’s exit process shortly after launch, ensuring a seamless handover to the team and DAO structure. Accountability includes proactive communication, meeting deadlines, and aligning with our core values: decentralization, sustainability, innovation, and employee empowerment.

**Requirements:**
- 3-5 years of experience as a virtual assistant, business manager, or in customer service/sales roles (experience in service-based industries like advertising, cleaning, or franchising is a plus; prior experience creating SOPs or hiring staff strongly preferred).
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) for phone interactions and professional documentation.
- Proficient with Slack for project management, document management, and daily huddles; comfortable with Google Workspace, CRM software (e.g., HubSpot or similar), and VoIP phones.
- Basic understanding of business operations; familiarity with blockchain/DAO concepts is a bonus (training provided).
- Reliable internet, quiet workspace, and ability to work U.S. hours, including the mandatory 10 AM EST daily huddle via Slack.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field preferred.
