CAD Draftsperson – SolidWorks to Fusion 360 (Trailer Manufacturing)

Our business is expanding, and we’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Draftsperson to join our remote team.

The Role
We are seeking a CAD Draftsperson to transfer existing SolidWorks drawings into Fusion 360, prepare 2D manufacturing drawings, and apply weights for steel and other materials. This role will require a strong understanding of manufacturing tolerances, materials, and practical trailer construction requirements.

Responsibilities
Rebuild existing detailed SolidWorks assemblies into Fusion 360.
Create accurate 2D manufacturing drawings from existing 3D models.
Assign correct weights to steel and other materials for weight calculation and axle placement.
Maintain precise measurements and tolerances to match Australian trailer manufacturing standards.
Work closely with our operations team and draftsman to ensure drawings are production-ready.

Requirements:
Proven experience in SolidWorks and Fusion 360 (portfolio required).
Strong knowledge of material properties, especially steel, and their weight calculations.
Experience preparing manufacturing-ready drawings.
High attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
Great written and spoken English.
Reliable internet connection.
