Job Title: Energy Assessor – HERO Software Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Assessor with proven experience using HERO Energy Rating Software and a full understanding of the NatHERS Technical Note requirements. You will be working under the guidance of an accredited energy assessor, producing compliant and accurate energy ratings for residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Accurately model and assess residential building plans in HERO to meet NatHERS compliance.

- Apply detailed knowledge of the NatHERS Technical Note to ensure ratings meet all regulatory standards.

- Interpret and analyze architectural and construction plans with precision.

- Provide clear, professional reports and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of energy efficiency regulations and industry developments.

- Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting project deadlines.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Proficiency in HERO Energy Rating Software with demonstrable project experience.

- Comprehensive knowledge of the NatHERS Technical Note and compliance requirements.

- Strong ability to read and interpret residential building plans.

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable

- Previous work experience under or as an accredited energy assessor.

- Understanding of building materials, construction methods, and energy efficiency principles.

- Experience liaising directly with builders, architects, or designers.
